ATS Scientific Partners with Microtrac MRB, to Provide Leading Particle Characterization Technology to Canada

March 9th, 2020, Burlington, Ontario, Canada -- ATS Scientific Inc. is proud to announce their partnership as Canadian distributor and service provider for Microtrac MRB, based in Montgomeryville, PA, USA.

Microtrac MRB is a leading manufacturer and pioneer of instruments for particle analysis using laser diffraction and dynamic light scattering technologies. The company was recently acquired by the Verder Group in 2019. The instruments are used for industrial applications and material research.  The new flagship SYNC laser diffraction system will be incorporated with the instruments housed in ATS Scientific’s Technology Centre.  The Retsch Technology’s Camsizer series of instruments will continue to be offered through ATS Scientific as they always have been since this brand was introduced in Canada since the early 2000s.

“ATS Scientific and The Verder Group has had a strong relationship for many years,” said Gilles Groulx, Vice President of Sales.  “Customers are increasingly asking for more integrated particle characterization technology and solutions and this was the next logical step to accelerate our long-term agreement and to best support current and future clients.”

“We look forward to expanding our partnership with ATS Scientific. Having worked with ATS for nearly 20 years already as a distributor for several Verder Brands such as Retsch and more recently ELTRA and Carbolite, their technical team’s expertise in particle characterization space will allow us to extend our product offerings strategically within this market” stated Paul Cloake, President of Microtrac MRB.
